Care Guide

Care Guide

The fabrics and notions/hardware etc that I use are sourced and purchased within the UK from quality, trusted suppliers. I quality check every single item I make (multiple times throughout the process) and your pieces will last you a long time as long as they are properly taken care of. These are some guidelines to follow when looking after your items:

- Hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent (do not scrub harshly) and hang dry

- Never place the items on a direct heat source, such as a radiator etc, it’s best to hang your items near a radiator instead

- If your costume includes specialist fabrics such as shiny or sparkly fabric, please consider wiping or spot cleaning them instead (this keeps the shine/sparkle lasting longer!)

- Please do not put items in the washing machine, hand wash only

- Never put any of the pieces I’ve made in the tumble dryer, there is a major risk of fire due to the fabrics used…and if there is any metal involved in the costume there is an extreme risk of fire or worse

- Try to keep your costume in a dry environment as it will help it last longer - keeping it folded or crumpled in a bag while wet or sweaty will result in deterioration and potential colour leaking

- If you think there is a fabric fault with your item please get in touch asap via email and include photos of your item

I’m aware that these guidelines can seem excessive but custom pieces are special items that people work hard for to purchase, and so I want you to get as much wear out of them as possible, and following the above guidelines should do just that!
